There has been a rise in awareness of factory farming, GMOs, even constant technological information for calorie intake. While this is all good that more people are aware, it doesn’t change the situation. Food is our number one source for our daily nutrition, even children know this, but we are not conscious of what we are putting in our bodies. Combine this with inactivity and the lack of exercise. Overtime just making our bodies in worse and worse condition.
I personally am a very active person, my job burns an enormous amount of calories a day, in addition I always choose to walk instead of vehicle transportation, and I naturally have an over active metabolism (which in this case isn’t a good thing). So my daily challenge is to intake more calories than I burn so that I may gain weight (Currently: 155lbs 5’11”ft), as I want to be in great physique. Mostly on here we talk about mental conditioning, but there is an unsaid balance and connection between the mind and body, and so when one is lacking the other falters.
This connection between your mind and body (and spirit), is intrinsically strong. The path to a valuable and meaningful life is started with this. You must maintain all three aspects of yourself; body for the most part is rather easy, make sure you eat right and workout right?
As we said before though, the food we are eating are impacting our bodies in negative ways. Sure we can strive to eat more sustainable options, but that is easier said than done. This is something I would like to do, but just like with life temptation comes in with things like sugar, and unnecessary carbs (even in my case).
The Problem: To maintain a healthy physique by gaining more weight to make sure I get to a healthy state, while keeping away from unhealthy food.
The Solution: Find healthier options, i.e. grilled chicken over sirloin steak. Intake calories with healthy sources. Keeping the body nourished and prime.
